NetSuite Technical Lead

Location: London / Milton Keynes (Hybrid)

The role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated NetSuite Technical Lead to join our dynamically evolving team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, developing, and implementing our internal ERP NetSuite system, with a specific focus on the Zone Billing module. This mid-senior role requires deep expertise in NetSuite and Zone Billing, along with strong leadership skills to guide our team through complex projects and ensure the system aligns with our business needs and growth objectives.

What you'll be doing

  • NetSuite System Management: Maintain and enhance our NetSuite ERP system, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of the business.
  • Zone Billing Module Implementation: Oversee the development and implementation of the Zone Billing module within NetSuite.
  • Solution Design and Development: Design and develop solutions within the NetSuite environment, identifying and qualifying appropriate solutions based on business requirements and constraints.
  • Architectural Consulting: Provide architectural consulting expertise to systems analysts, developers, administrators, and other solution architects as needed.
  • Documentation and Roadmapping: Develop and document the company's existing solution architecture and technology portfolio, and create comprehensive plans for NetSuite roadmaps, including analysis of efficiency and effectiveness improvement opportunities.
  • Integrated Systems Understanding: Develop a thorough understanding of the end-to-end integrated systems and data flow through the application architecture, including NetSuite, and additional ancillary solutions.
  • Testing and Validation: Develop and execute test plans to validate NetSuite stability and any impacted portions of the application architecture. Report findings and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Code Reviews and Approvals: Review and approve Technical Design Documents (TDDs) and perform code reviews for new or updated functionality.
  • User Support and Training: Provide end-user troubleshooting, training, and support to ensure efficient and effective use of NetSuite.

We're looking for someone who

  • Technical Expertise:
  • Extensive experience in NetSuite system management and development, with a focus on the Zone Billing module.
  • Knowledge of Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) and Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Understanding of integration platforms utilizing REST and SOAP
  • Knowledge and experience of a selection of the processes: Revenue Recognition, Advanced Revenue Management (ARM), Order-to-Cash, General Ledger, Billing/Accounts Receivable, Tax, Pricing & Sales, SuiteBilling, and Products & Work Orders.
  • Tooling and Technologies:
  • Expertise in SuiteScript, SuiteAnalytics, SuiteFlow, SuiteTalk, SuiteBundler, and SuiteBuilder.
  • Experience with API integrations and data migration processes.
  • Knowledge of software evaluation principles and practices.
  • Leadership and Personal Attributes:
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.

What you'll bring to the role

  • Experience of configuration, development, and administrative experience with NetSuite.
  • Experience in the technical management of the NetSuite platform.
  • Understanding of financial processes and accounting principles.
  • Proven experience in backend development using SuiteScript, SuiteTalk, SuiteFlow, SuiteBuilder, and other NetSuite development tools.
  • Ability to analyse complex business processes and translate them into NetSuite solutions.
  • Experience with additional integrations and add-ons is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision and take a proactive role in executing assignments.
  • Team player with collaborative communication skills and the ability to prioritize work across competing requests.
