The Systems and Content Development Manager plays a leading and mentoring role within the Brand team and sets the strategic direction of the OEB (own exclusive brand) content delivery systems. As a subject matter expert in content requirements and content delivery technology the role champions best practice and innovation to deliver content efficiently and effectively to the Banner (B&Q Screwfix, Castorama etc.. ) teams across Kingfisher.
You will be responsible for optimising the performance of the Brand content delivery system infrastructure ensuring it meets department needs and that the broader technology ecosystem is integrated appropriately to meet both business and reporting needs. You will ensure the DAM platform evolves to meet the changing needs of the business and the quality of data is managed and controlled to ensure maximum effectiveness of the tool.
What's the job?
- Ensure that the DAM platform evolves to meet the changing needs of the business.
- Partner the Group Digital content and Product owners to get the best outcome for all of our systems and content. Work closely with banners and data to ensure all delivery is efficient and effective
- Act and deliver subject matter expertise (DAM, Content Management, Content Requirements and Vendor Acquisition) to peers and team members pro-actively and within projects led within the department and wider business.
- Lead the Content and System Development team to deliver the system and initiatives effectively. Lead the DAM steering group and the DAM team to steer the development and direction of the DAM, general governance, management and prioritization of the different partner needs across the business.
- Lead the reporting and analysis of OEB content production and delivery. Provide commentary at a department, range review and brand level to ensure teams are creating effective content.
What you'll bring
- Experience of working in a web content environment, handling the data used to power content delivery - preferably in retail
- Experience manging and launching a DAM system within a global business
- Proven experience of working in a digital, marketing or content strategy role with exposure to multiple types of channels
- A great storyteller, extremely organised and comfortable managing, tracking and reporting on various projects at the same time in a fast-paced environment.
