The Role

Reporting to the Service Desk Manager, the role will require in-depth understanding of Information Technology. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to further establish their IT knowledge and skills in an environment that provides autonomy and support in equal measure.

If you were to join us as an IT Support Analyst, here's what you want to know.

  • Location: Derby (Hybrid, 1-2 days in the office)
  • Hours/shift pattern: 5 days out of 7
  • Contract type: Permanent
  • Salary: Competitive

What will my Day to Day look like?

  • Be the first point of contact for user IT issues into the organisation
  • Troubleshooting and Support end users with bespoke application queries
  • Deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot core business applications, including application servers, associated hardware, endpoints, and databases
  • Meet and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to establish requirements, system goals
  • Translate technical into clear non-technical requirements
  • Manage the set-up and configuration of systems across desktop, networks, infrastructure
  • Provide documentation of all processes and training as needed
  • Engage in the design, implementation, and upgrades of systems to meet the business and user needs
  • Implement best practices for scalability, supportability, ease of maintenance, and system performance.

What do we need from you?

  • Be able to work within a Team and share knowledge.
  • A strong ability to analyse and problem-solve.
  • Basic Experience with SQL or other database technology
  • Experience with Ticket Logging Software.
  • Exposure to Virtualization (VMware)
  • Experience with Windows Server
  • Experience with Webex/Contact Centre
  • Experience in: Multiple OS platforms with strong emphasis on Windows
  • Basic Knowledge of the TCP / IP protocol suite; security architecture; securing and hardening Operating Systems; Networks; Databases; and Applications
  • Knowledge of the Incident & Request, working independently to investigate and effectively respond to queries.
  • Knowledge of O365 - AAD, Exchange, Power BI
  • Knowledge of Salesforce
  • Strong Intune administration skills
