Job Title: Sustainability Reporting Manager

Division: Finance

Key Relationships: Finance, Risk & Compliance, Responsible Business Steering Group, Sustainability team, Investor Relations, Facilities Management, Procurement, Investments, Internal Communications and Underwriting and Claims teams.

Job Summary: Aid with the delivery of sustainability reporting to ensure Beazley can effectively communicate its progress against the objectives set out in the sustainability strategy. The role will report into the Head of Group and Statutory Reporting and will be responsible for both internal and external reporting on sustainability

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the preparation of the data necessary to support the delivery of internal and external sustainability reporting
  • Lead the delivery of Beazley's sustainability reports and external ESG disclosures such as: TCFD, CDP, CSRD, CSA
  • Lead the continued development of the process and procedures required to facilitate existing and new sustainability-related metrics
  • Develop and deliver regular progress reports on sustainability performance to key stakeholders
  • Support the delivery of audit and assurance processes to enable Beazley can meet assurance standards for its ESG reporting
  • Support the delivery of initiatives which will ensure Beazley can meet forthcoming legislative requirements for ESG regulations such as CSRD
  • Support the sustainability team to implement plans to ensure continued improvement in sustainability rating based on information gathered from audits or other sources
  • Support the sustainability team with sustainability-related returns and submissions and regular and ad hoc reporting requirements including data quality checks, resolving external assurance queries and proofing report content
  • Build and maintain a strong internal network.
  • Support the delivery of wider initiatives across the sustainability strategy.

  • Carry out additional responsibilities as individually notified, either through your objectives or through the learning management system. These may include membership of any Beazley committees or working groups.

Personal Specification:

Knowledge, Experience & Skills

  • Experience in producing high quality technical reports to help demonstrate alignment with regulatory requirements, inform business strategy and to demonstrate the value of sustainability within the decision-making process
  • Proven experience in sustainability reporting (preferably with exposure to CSRD)
  • Proven experience in external assurance and audit processes
  • Strong analytical skills, with an ability to manage and interpret data to inform effective decision making
  • Proven project management experience and excellent communication skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy, in written, visual and numeric work
  • Personable character with an ability to foster good working relationships at all levels of the organisation
  • Ability to obtain buy-in and engagement from employees at all levels
  • Experience liaising with, engaging and presenting to senior business leaders
  • Good awareness of a broad range of corporate social and environmental sustainability programmes, including areas such as TCFD, CSRD, ESG Disclosures, SASB and Science Based Targets.
