Job Introduction

An exciting new opportunity has become available at Vp. Working in conjunction with the Director in charge and the Environmental Steering Group (ESG) you'll drive forward the Group's environmental & sustainability position.

Your main responsibility is to identify areas and workstreams for development and see these through to a successful conclusion.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify workstreams required to demonstrate a robust environmental and sustainable position for the Group - this must stand up to external scrutiny, specifically from customers and external bodies.
• Communication with divisional teams & customers
• Corporate reporting - Emissions inventory, ESG report, TCFD
• Work effectively with other departments - particularly around social value and comms
• Manage the relationship with external third parties - Supply Chain Sustainability School and Business in the Community
• Website management
• Drive forward the Group's sponsorship of restoration/conservation projects and facilitate employee engagement.
• Play an active part in the marketing sub-committee.
• Play an active role in driving forward the concept of sustainable procurement within the Group.
• Complete on-going horizon planning in relation to the complete arena of sustainability and environmental management.
• Consider the EV market and charging solutions that best fit the overall objectives of the Group.
• Emissions Management
• Provide clarity over the Group's utilities and waste contracts and ensure the requisite usage reporting is available.

What We're Looking For

• Knowledge of relevant sustainability requirements on plc corporates
• Experience of managing multiple workstreams at one time
• Educated to degree level (a relevant degree is desirable)
• Ability to influence Group and Divisional Management teams
• Ability to present to customers
• Specific qualifications relating to the field of work is desirable
