Surveyor/ Senior Surveyor - Valuations

We have an exciting growth opportunity for an experienced RICS registered valuer to join our Commercial Valuations team based in Oxford as a Chartered Surveyor. Our valuations team work with a wide range of clients including private sector clients, major clearing banks, developers, landed estates and solicitors across Oxfordshire. As a Valuations Surveyor, you will contribute to the growth of the asset valuations business and will help to strengthen relations with our existing/new clients. You will contribute to the growth and development of the valuations team by helping to mentor and train the more junior members.

Main tasks:

• Work within the existing valuation team in Oxford, providing valuations for financial reporting purposes as well as loan security and other valuation requirements.
• Carry out inspections, calculate floor and site areas, comparable research, demographic and economic research, planning and statutory enquiries, company trading analysis, lease reading and summarising, development / option agreement reading and reviewing, preparation of valuations / development appraisals.
• Contribution to the growth of the business by identifying new business opportunities across the Commercial valuation sector.
• Assist in the delivery of major projects.
• Financial and client reporting.
• Take an active role in the development and implementation of efficient, 'best practice' internal systems and processes, optimising IT and other resources.

What will it take to be successful?

You will be a RICS registered valuer/ MRICS charted surveyor with at least one year post qualification experience as a valuer. You will have prior experience of working with a wide range of stakeholders and good working knowledge of all relevant legislation. The successful candidate will be confident, technically competent, numerate and have excellent communication and inter-personal skills. Additionally, you will have experience of delivering and managing multiple projects, be competent with MS Office and hold a full UK driving licence.
