Job Summary
IFC Certification is looking for a Suppression Inspector / Schemes Manager to join their team. Your role will be to oversee and manage fire suppression systems and certification schemes through expert auditing, inspection, and reporting. This role is home-based, with the flexibility to travel to clients' offices and sites as required.

About the role
- Auditing: Conduct and report on Installation Contractor Office Quality Audits, Site Audits (Inspections), and design document reviews in line with BS EN ISO 17065 and IFCC scheme requirements.
- Internal Quality: Assist with internal quality audits to support the maintenance of UKAS Accreditations held by IFCC.
- Site Inspections: Perform site inspections in accordance with ISO/IEC 17020 and client requirements, delivering clear, detailed reports.
- Team Leadership: Management of Senior Engineer, providing guidance and support.
- Innovate Processes: Develop audit checklists for existing and new schemes, collaborating with the Head of Certification on new scheme development.
- Technical Expertise: Review reports and specifications prepared by IFC Engineers, ensuring compliance and quality standards.
- Customer Support: Respond to customer inquiries, investigate complaints, and manage new client enquiries.
- Market Awareness: Stay informed about industry trends and represent IFCC on trade association task groups.
Do you have what it takes?
- Relevant Degree, HNC level qualification, BTEC or similar (desirable).
- Fire Suppression Design qualifications, i.e., LPCB, XACT or similar approved courses.
- An understanding of the following British Standards: BS EN ISO 17065 and ISO/IEC 17020 would be beneficial.
- A proven background working in a technical or quality control role for either a certification/inspection body, an application/installation contractor or a Property Insurance Surveyor specialising in Fire Suppression.
- Full UK driving licence, this role will involve travel to client's offices and sites.
- Able to work closely and co-operatively with Clients and Stakeholders.
What can you expect from us in return?
- £60,000 - £70,000 per annum
- £5,400 Car Allowance

- 37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday, remote role with national travel
