Supply Chain Manager

Our client have developed and launched an innovative solution to address contamination risks in food and drink production. They are now recruiting an experienced supply chain professional to manage the supply chain and internal operations of the business.

You'll have the opportunity to shape and develop the supply chain and operations functions of the business as they continue to scale-up. Your initial responsibilities will focus on the following

  • Maintain full control of all operational and supply chain activities
  • Continue to develop the supply base to include both preferred and alternate suppliers for all key components
  • Manage inventory levels to support production goals, in line with sales targets
  • Manage any supply chain risks to ensure reliable supply and protect reputation
  • Play a leading role in the company's work to obtain ISO 9001 accreditation in the next 12 months.

The role is site based at our clients premises in Milton Keynes. There's no hybrid option for this position due to the nature of the work.

  • Proven experience in materials logistics, warehousing and supply chain management, ideally including experience in an organisation with effective and well established procedures, policies and controls
  • Experience of international logistics, ideally including the EU and USA
  • Experience of developing effective long term supplier relationships
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills with effective influencing skills
  • Proactive and flexible attitude in line with the requirements of a small, fast-growing, business
  • Confident and collaborative team player, with experience of understanding and working effectively with colleagues in other business functions, particularly finance
  • Self-driven, including a proven ability to learn and develop new skills and knowledge to meet evolving job requirements.
