Location - Glasgow, Edinburgh or Newcastle, Permanent

Office Attendance - Our roles are hybrid; however, you should be able to travel to our Edinburgh and Glasgow offices 2 days per week for this position.

We're looking for a Supplier Manager to join our Shared Services team at Tesco Bank.

You'll ensure a full understanding of the services provided to your allocated business area (s) by Strategic suppliers, engaging relevant internal stakeholders and report on performance, service, and risk exposures.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage key internal client and customer relationships. Ensure business objectives and supplier objectives remain aligned and within rules of business conduct. Governing the relationship for maximum value, including review meetings
  • Identify Trends, summarise findings and give feedback on existing contract performance, provide as input to new contract processes to negotiations/renegotiations.
  • Deliver required outcomes by managing day-to-day relationships with contract service providers while working within a contract management plan, in line with regulatory supplier compliance management framework.
  • Work with Procurement & Legal to review, maintain and re-negotiate the necessary legal contracts.
  • Ensure that business activities within your area of responsibility comply with relevant external regulatory and voluntary codes and with internal policies and procedures.
  • Identify and evaluate risks, issues, dependencies, and constraints associated, escalating where appropriate.
  • Plan and deliver stakeholder engagement activities to develop effective working relationships and to ensure that stakeholder needs, and concerns are identified and me.

We need you to have

  • Deep understanding of the Procurement & Supplier Management Policy and Framework.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience of managing suppliers in a large, regulated, or controlled environment.
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills.
  • Experience of balancing priorities in a fast paced, consistently changing environment to meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience in a role within a supplier management environment in a large, regulated or controlled environment.
  • Knowledge of FCA/PRA regulations relating to outsourcing and supplier activity.
  • Risk, Conduct and Compliance Management.
  • Excellent relationship management and influencing skills at all levels.
  • Understanding of supplier commercial contracts.

  • Managing Suppliers as part of acquisition and divestment.

Role Alignment

Following the announcement regarding Tesco's strategic partnership with Barclays, this role will support our banking business and will transfer to Barclay's UK towards the end of 2024, subject to regulatory approval. Please note, the transfer date may change.
