Your Role
EF Brighton Summer School is looking for an energetic and organized Summer Residence Manager to lead our on-site residence team for summer 2025.
In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of the student residence, ensuring a safe, engaging, and well-run environment. You'll develop strong leadership and problem-solving skills while managing a team of international staff and creating an unforgettable experience for students from around the world.
Position Details:
- Full-time, fixed-term contract (June-August)
- £713 per week
- Accommodation and meals provided
- Potential for post summer full-time employment

Responsibilities
- Working with the summer management team to deliver an exceptional experience to our students
- A live-in position that sees you having the overall responsibility for a hotel/residence and the students/staff who are staying there
- Support a team of international staff to ensure our students have a home away from home experience
- You will take care of room allocation, supervise a team of leaders and ensure the hotel staff work in harmony with your team
- You will liaise with residence owners and staff on anything from cleaning to theme events and safety
- Shares emergency duty on a rota basis
Requirements
- Given the on call nature of the position, a flexible, hands-on approach to nature & hours of work undertaken is essential
- Highly motivated, energetic, positive
- Customer service orientated, friendly & approachable manner
- Able to remain calm under pressure & to diffuse potentially difficult situations
- Sensitive to needs of international students living away from home
- Excellent communicator with students, colleagues, and external clients
- Attention to detail, organised & thorough
- All offers are subject to a clear enhanced background check and two references
- Legally able to work in the UK at commencement of employment
