This job is brought to you by Jobs/Redefined, the UK's leading over-50s age inclusive jobs board.

Title: Strategy Senior Analyst
Department/reporting to: Office of the CEO, reporting to the Chief of Staff.
Location: Bristol
Salary: £65,000-£75,000

As a founding member of the Office of the CEO and our Strategy team, you will
play a key role in shaping and executing our company's strategic vision. Reporting directly to our Chief of Staff, CEO, and other senior executives, you will be responsible for providing actionable insights and recommendations to support our strategic planning initiatives.

This role requires the ability to quickly gain a deep understanding of market dynamics, competitive analysis, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive our corporate strategy and achieve our Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).

Responsibilities:
Business analysis: Complete business and market analysis to support fundraising
efforts and business strategy
Strategic development: Contribute to the ongoing development of our corporate
strategy by developing strategic business plans, competitive analyses, business
cases, and data-and-insight driven recommendations to our executives
Cross-functional support: Collaborate with our business units, including sales
and product management, on strategic and market research to help them achieve
their goals
OKR tracking: Contribute to the management of our company OKRs by tracking and analysing company data

Competencies:

  • You have strong strategic thinking and analysis capabilities: you leverage
strategic frameworks and best practices to structure your analysis. You can see the big picture and break down complex problems into actionable insights
  • You think in terms of problems worth solving: before jumping to a solution, you ensure there is a real area of opportunity or issue to solve for. You ask, 'are we doing the right thing' before you commit to doing it
  • You have excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation abilities:
you will need to collaborate with, pull insights from, and gain buy-in from across business units at all levels of the organization. You know stakeholder management is just as important as the research itself
  • You are a self-starter who translates strategy and research into actionable
insights: you are driven to achieve results, measure the results, and build on the results for even higher impact
  • You love working with lots of data and making it tell a clear story: you can
research, analyse, and summarize quantitative and qualitative data in a way that is relevant to your business stakeholders
  • You are driven to make continuous improvements to the business: we are
growing rapidly and what was the best way to operate a few months ago may not be the right way now. You continuously look for better ways of working, better tools to use, and better ways to do business
  • You are passionate about the green energy transition and our purpose to
accelerate the energy transition with deep tech solutions

You should apply if you have:

  • 3+ years' experience in consulting or investment banking, 5+ years' experience in an internal strategy, business analytics, or market analysis team, or a mix of both
  • Experience in (renewable) energy, climatetech, industrials, AI, and/or B2B tech
  • Experience managing projects, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Degree in business, economics, data analytics, or other analytical and/or market research focused field is a plus
  • Experience with Excel, PowerPoint presentations, data visualization tools (e.g. tableau), and market research tools. Experience with CRM tools (e.g. HubSpot, Salesforce) is a plus
