Person specification

Qualifications

Essential criteria

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent
  • Clear evidence of continued professional development relating to portfolio, programme, or project management, such as Managing Successful Programmes, Management of Value, P3O

Desirable criteria

  • Masters level degree or equivalent within a Business or IT specific subject
  • Professional qualifications such as Prince 2, such as Managing Successful Programmes, Management of Value, Manageme

Experience

Essential criteria

  • Substantial experience of working within strategically focused functions, across complex change and operational service delivery environments
  • Demonstratable experience at a senior level in an NHS acute trust or equivalent experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Strategic thinking - ability to anticipate and resolve problems before they arise. Ability to analyse complex facts and situations and develop a range of options.

Desirable criteria

  • Substantial experience of working within strategically focused functions, across complex change and operational service delivery environments
  • Experience within an acute hospital setting.
  • Experience of developing complex business cases.
