Background

Acceptance Solutions is one of four business units within Visa's Value-Added Services division. It delivers a broad suite of capabilities to support payment acceptance, including online payments processing, fraud / chargeback management, tokenization, and in-store payments. The business unit has a global footprint spanning all five of Visa's regions and brings together more than half a million merchants, banks, and tech partners.

Job Description

The role will support the Head of Acceptance Solutions Strategy who reports to the General Manager of the business unit globally. Responsibilities include commercial analysis / research, investment planning, and M&A coverage. The Manager will support major project workstreams and own key analytical deliverables end to end. As part of a global function, focus areas will include both multi-year, worldwide priorities and in-year, regional initiatives. Strong candidates are versatile team-players who learn fast and have a demonstrated track record of driving projects through to successful outcomes.

What we expect of you day-to-day:

  • Lead workstreams related to multi-year strategy development; align global strategy to regional priorities; assess opportunities and risks (acquisitions, partnerships, regulation)
  • Analyse business problems, contribute to solutions; collaborate with a wide range of internal stakeholders to develop sound evaluations and proposed actions
  • Communicate recommendations to senior management, other executive, functional, or regional staff and management in a clear, concise, and impactful way
  • Support Acceptance Solutions' senior leadership team by developing thought leadership and insightful analysis for executive meetings, investor presentations etc.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

What we expect of you day-to-day:

  • Lead workstreams related to multi-year strategy development; align global strategy to regional priorities; assess opportunities and risks (acquisitions, partnerships, regulation)
  • Analyse business problems, contribute to solutions; collaborate with a wide range of internal stakeholders to develop sound evaluations and proposed actions

  • Support Acceptance Solutions' senior leadership team by developing thought leadership and insightful analysis for executive meetings, investor presentations etc.

Key Competencies:

  • Ability to lead and manage complex workstreams independently
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; demonstrated quantitative rigor
  • Attention to detail and the ability to structure and analyse financial and operational data
  • Outstanding stakeholder management abilities at both senior and junior levels
  • Strong executive communication skills i.e., written and oral communication
  • Self-starter, team oriented, collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible, with excellent presentation skills, including strong oral and writing capabilities

What we are looking for:

  • Time spent in management consulting, corporate strategy, or investment banking
  • Experience in and/or significant exposure to the payments industry preferred
