Strategy Manager, CEO Office

We're looking for a highly driven self-starter with a desire to challenge and solve complex issues, to join our CEO Office team. The CEO Office team leads formulation and execution of the Division-wide strategy, serving as a "strategic conscience" for the broader division.

As a Strategy Manager in the CEO Office at AXA XL, you will work closely with the team to assist in the development and execution of the company's strategic direction. Your role will involve facilitating discussions, coordinating meetings, and supporting the Leadership Team's performance and collaboration. Additionally, you will support collaboration with stakeholders across AXA XL and with the AXA Group.

What will your essential responsibilities include?

  • Collaborate with the CEO Office team, senior leaders, and subject matter experts to develop and implement strategic initiatives.
  • Manage internal stakeholders and foster effective cooperation with the AXA Group.
  • Provide feedback and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and analyze external data, industry trends, and competition to identify opportunities and potential challenges.
  • Lead the development of new strategic initiatives through research and analysis.
  • Drive the execution of strategy by tracking accountabilities for business leaders and the associated goal setting.
  • Partner with a Function or Business to guide throughout all points of the strategic cycle - formulation, planning, and execution
  • Assist on annual divisional strategy refresh process
  • Annual translation of Division goals to Functional Goals

We're looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Leadership: Ability to set high performance standards and lead independently.
  • Commercial Acumen: Deep understanding of driving effective financial and commercial outcomes.
  • Collaboration: Skilled at developing and maintaining productive working relationships.
  • Communication: Ability to build effective working relationships (both internally and externally), establishing credibility amongst a wide and demanding cross functional client group
  • Results Orientation: Proactive and flexible in delivering quality results.
  • Continuous Improvement: Curiosity, eagerness to learn, and drive for efficiency. Excellent attention to detail and a meticulous eye for identifying inconsistencies or inaccuracies
  • Analytical Thinking: Expertise in interpreting data and generating insights.
  • Industry Experience: Substantial knowledge of reinsurance and insurance industry, insurance or actuarial qualifications would be an advantage
  • Financial Knowledge: An understanding of core finance principles, with a preference for knowledge of insurance company financial statements and KPIs
  • Project Management: Proven track record in project management, project delivery and stakeholder management
