The opportunity

We are looking for a strategy leader with deep specialism in brand and integrated strategy.

As a Strategy Director, your focus would be on strategic leadership and client growth across some of our most high profile accounts.

Specifically, the role would cover strategy leadership across:

  • KP Snacks portfolio: leading strategy on McCoy's, Hula Hoops and Pom Bears brands
  • adidas: strengthening our position as agency partner in the training division and building our remit and influence with client service lead
  • Brita: building our agency remit across all aspects of comms, PR and partnerships
  • Chelsea FC: building on our work with Chelsea Foundation and identifying new opportunities to grow the relationship

How you'd spend your day

The Strategy Director sits at the heart of the Iris client team alongside a Managing Partner and Creative Director.

You will play a lead strategic role on your accounts, with support from Executive Strategy Director, Chief Strategy Office and Junior Strategist where applicable.

The fundamental requirement is to own the full strategic process, ensuring priority projects are as strategically robust, creatively potent, and commercially effective as possible.

You will commission and conduct research where necessary and interrogate and analyse platform and market data to set KPIs, assess effectiveness and drive performance.

You'll work closely with creative teams, strategists from specific disciplines (data, social, etc.), creative technologists, specialist content creators and digital experience designers.

What we're looking for:

  • Reporting to the Executive Strategy Director you'll drive the strategy agenda within your account teams and provide guidance and mentoring to junior members of the team.
  • You'll have line management responsibility for Senior Strategist and/or Strategist and will be expected to manage their career development.
  • You'll be keen to make your mark and want to contribute to the broader leadership of strategy in the agency - collaborating with the other Strategy
    Directors to build the profile and identity of Iris Strategy, both internally and externally, through the running of team meetings, contributing to agency thought leadership, IP and events.
  • You'll be keen to get involved in the New Business opportunities, either in support of our Strategy leadership, or leading smaller pitches independently with guidance from them.
  • A team focused self starter, you'll enjoy getting stuck in and possess a degree of pragmatism and practicality which is an inevitable requirement of a truly integrated agency.
  • You'll thrive in an environment where you're given the freedom to think independently and creatively.
  • Collaboration and openness are both fundamental. You will be required to lead and drive as well as listen to others whose specialist knowledge will enhance the strategic recommendations we are making to our clients.
