What we're looking for:

As Strategy Director, you will drive strategic excellence within the agency, ensuring robust, insight-led, and high-quality output for our clients. You will develop and articulate our strategic process, immersing yourself in the business and brand of our clients to craft innovative campaigns and activation work.

You will act as a strategic advisor to clients and senior decision-makers, helping shape their investments and leveraging sports and entertainment to engage at the speed of fans.

You will foster a culture of learning, curiosity, and sharing within the agency, providing tools, guidelines, and models to transfer knowledge into day-to-day projects.

As the link between our sponsorship and partnership consultants, content creation specialists, and data and analytics experts, you will build and articulate strategic platforms, weave narratives, and sell creativity to our clients and prospects.

You will enjoy the challenge of simplifying complex information to create impactful and emotive work.

In essence, you will enhance our strategic thinking, creative ideation, and presentation of work.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Connect insights to strategy and culturally relevant ideas across all departments.
  • Liaise with senior account leads to maintain and grow client relationships.
  • Understand clients' businesses and the wider industry
  • Ensure strategy resources are built into client scopes and projects.
  • Contribute to new business responses with strategic and creative ideas.
  • Develop strategies and creative ideas for clients, focusing on cultural trends.
  • Enhance existing client relationships by utilising all business disciplines.
  • Provide thought leadership on creative strategy, best practices, and trends.
  • Coordinate with other MKTG offices to apply best practices to the EMEA business.
  • Support new business opportunities with strategic and creative resources.
  • Oversee strategy outputs for pitches and strategic responses.
  • Contribute to the agency's marketing efforts through thought leadership.
  • Represent the agency at conferences and networking events.
  • Stay knowledgeable about the industry and embody a growth mindset.
  • Focus on personal development through team management and leadership training.
  • Mentor and coach direct reports, promoting an inclusive environment.
  • Oversee team objectives and goal setting.

What you will have done so far:

  • At least seven years of experience in a creative or brand strategy role.
  • Experience extracting insights from research data into themes and findings.
  • Expertise in the social media landscape and platforms.
  • Ability to manage long-term projects and respond to real-time events.
  • Skill in conceptualising, articulating, and packaging clear and strategic ideas.
  • Collaborative work style, influencing key stakeholders and managing relationships.
  • Proven ability to deliver persuasive presentations to senior brand clients.
  • We value smart, curious people from diverse backgrounds who are interested in the latest cultural trends. While not a sports fanatic, understanding fandom is important.
