The purpose of the Strategy and Programme Manager for Global Sourcing is to provide direct support to the Global Sourcing Director and the Sourcing leadership team in executing their strategic agenda. Proactively manage and deliver strategic initiatives, ensuring that all aspects of the product strategy are aligned with overall business goals.
What's the job?
- Assist with strategy development, supporting key meetings, and maintaining an effective governance cadence.
- Analyse business problems, proposing solutions, measuring and aligning performance metrics, and developing and implementing change plans to achieve business objectives.
- Oversee strategic business initiatives from development through successful execution under the guidance of senior leadership, including design through delivery of change initiatives for the global sourcing teams
- Supporting Global sourcing Director and sourcing leadership team in crafting and delivering their holistic agenda
- Own and lead the framework of governance and team events, rhythm and routines to ensure we are efficient and effective in our decision-making and communications
- Preparation of strategic topics for the leadership meetings
- Improving the functions, ongoing processes and coordinating procedures to ensure the efficiency and productivity of the sourcing leadership team
- Ensure the communications plan is understood and implemented by the team
- Building relationships with all key colleagues in the team and broader organisation for increased efficiency to help monitor and deliver on the strategic plans, including presenting and resolving in case of risks
- Serve as a subject matter expert, handling inquiries and developing action plans to address them, and assisting with the preparation and dissemination of communications
What you'll bring
- Experience in a business manager/chief of staff role or equivalent skills, including quick and clear analysis and summarizing business problems, recommendations, plans, and results.
- Strong skills in business communications tools including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel - the ability to quickly create clear and impactful analysis, conclusions, recommendations and presentation materials appropriate to different audiences
- A well-rounded problem solver who can extract logic, insights and meaningful conclusions from complex business problems and transformational strategic projects and convey sophisticated commercial and technical challenges in a user-friendly way
- The ability to interact with top-tier management and broader team to build relationships to deliver change and business outcomes
- Shown experience in aligning action plans, facilitating the sharing of optimal ways of working across multiple remote drivingd successfully executing change in a large organization
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills to extract insight and conclusions from complex problems
