Full Time, Fixed Term for up to 12 months.

We have an exciting job opportunity in the Revenues and Benefits Service for a Strategy and Information Manager to lead an existing high performing business development team, initially on a fixed term contract for up to 12 months.

You will be experienced in project management and process redesign, as well as the management and supervision of staff, and lead in two main areas; a programme of work, including project management, providing continual service improvement of policies, working practices, online self-service and enhancements to line of business systems, and Freedom of Information and Data Protection (including data sharing).

Well-developed influencing and negotiating skills will enable you to provide direction and guidance to teams across the service, collaborating with internal and external partners and stakeholders to deliver change, and co-ordinate year-end work and annual billing.

One of the key priorities for the service is to improve efficiencies through the implementation of new software and process redesign, leading to increased revenue collection. You will ensure that change activities are carried out to a high standard ensuring impact is assessed, and that communications and training are delivered.

You will need to possess excellent problem-solving skills and experience of planning to support organisational change.

Please note that this role is subject to a Basic DBS Check.

For permanent Bristol City Council employees, this post will be a secondment.

For employees who are currently on a fixed term contract with Bristol City Council, the secondment must not extend beyond the end of the fixed term period to ensure there is a substantive post to return to.

If you are currently a casual worker or a member of an employment agency (currently working with Bristol City Council) this post will be a fixed term contract.
