It's an exciting time to join UKSBS as we transform our business to be the leading UK public sector business service provider. We aim to become a very different organisation over the next few years as we move to a modern multi-platform, digitally enabled organisation.

In line with the Government's Shared Services Strategy, the Matrix Programme is intending to deliver modern, cost-effective and scalable shared business services to nine departments (the Policy Cluster), with UKSBS as the provider, flexibly meeting changing Government requirements, and driving innovation to optimise efficiencies and enhance user experience. The Programme will also implement a new modern SaaS ERP platform, from which UKSBS can deliver these services, driving harmonisation and significant business change across the Departments. This is a large, complex multi-year programme.

Key responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, clients, and internal teams
  • Ensure alignment of commercial strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to improve their processes, capabilities, and performance.
  • Provide training, support, and resources to help suppliers meet the company's standards and requirements.
  • Monitor and report on service performance metrics to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular service reviews with stakeholders to assess performance and identify areas for enhancement
  • Collaborate with customers, internal stakeholders, and technical teams to define product requirements. Create detailed specifications for product features and improvements

To be considered for the role, you will possess the following:

  • A proven track record of Supplier Management, particularly focused on IT suppliers
  • ITIL 3 or 4 knowledge is a must
  • Ability to analyse and interpret complex data, trends, and market conditions
  • Proficiency in cost analysis and scenario planning to identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and suppliers
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with various departments.
  • Ability to develop and implement efficient sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Working knowledge of Workday, Oracle Fusion, AWS preferred

Things you need to know

To be considered, you will need to successfully obtain BPSS before commencing the role, obtaining clearance usually takes 5-10 working days.
