REACH YOUR POTENTIAL | COLLABORATE WITH AMAZING PEOPLE | MAKE CHANGE HAPPEN

Do you have the skills, passion, and commitment to transform our clients for the better? Are you ready to be a changemaker? If so, join us.

North Highland is the world's leading change and transformation consultancy. Simply put, we make change happen like no one else. And we're on the hunt for a new Strategic Proposal Lead.

HOW WILL YOU MAKE CHANGE HAPPEN?

The Strategic Proposals Team (SPT) is a centralised team that provides proposal and pursuit leadership at North Highland. As accredited APMP proposal professionals, we partner with internal industry teams to create winning proposals and presentations - including strategy, pitch, and proposal development. We apply proposal strategy, process rigour, coaching, and mentoring in ways that facilitate business development best practices across North Highland markets. Forming a Centre of Excellence, SPT partners with the Sales and Capability Organisations to help create a more formalised, world-class North Highland business development community.

This opportunity is as a Lead for our SPT EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) team, with a primary focus on public-sector opportunities. Under the direction of senior members of SPT, you will lead the proposal process for qualifying strategic opportunities from start to finish - guiding the proposal team, coordinating and leading kickoff meetings and routine cadence calls, establishing the proposal schedule and tracking proposal team assignments to completion. You will be someone looking to grow in the profession and be an enthusiastic contributor to SPT's impact on helping North Highland deliver high-quality, client-focused proposals and generate more work for the firm.

YOU WILL:

  • Manage assigned proposals from start to finish, within the firm's proposal methodology
  • Administer the proposal development process and assume one or more proposal team roles that may include proposal facilitator and/or manager
  • Develop a comprehensive proposal outline and template, paying close attention to the solicitation requirements
  • Draft portions of the proposal content such as firm-level assurance processes or staff profiles
  • Manage the completion of all required proposal forms by collaborating with representatives from company departments including HR, legal, and finance
  • Serve as proposal editor, ensuring consistent voice and appropriate tone in proposals as well as alignment with firm branding
  • Act as an advocate for the application of firm sales messaging within proposal and pitch content
  • Incorporate key messages that convey the value proposition for each opportunity
  • Develop customised proposals that demonstrate understanding of target's needs in response to a solicitation
  • Facilitate the preparation of content for presentation teams
  • Partner with the Design Team to create graphics and documents that effectively and attractively convey proposal messaging
  • Recommend process improvement strategies for the proposal management and development toolset - develop templates, tools, and best practices
  • Fluency in Arabic required, with ability to support in-language content proofing and editing
  • Build relationships with industry, service line, market and other key stakeholders

IDEALLY, WE'D LIKE:

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience, preferably within proposals/pursuits in a B2B/Professional Services environment
  • Experience of leading proposal development in the public sector procurement lifecycle, including knowledge of regulations and procurement practices.
  • Shipley and/or Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) Certification highly desired
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to digest detailed client document packs to understand their critical requirements
  • Comfortable leading/facilitating group discussions or meetings in a virtual format
  • Knowledge of consulting core competencies such as Project Management, Change Management, Process, and Technology knowledge is preferred
  • Well organised, strong project management skills - able to multi-task across multiple projects and track multiple workstreams, activities, and people at the same time
  • Resourceful and an independent worker, though collaborative with team members
  • Strong Microsoft Suite and Adobe skills
