Job Description

Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service is a high-performing, cost-effective, and ambitious organisation, dedicated to making Norfolk safer. We are deeply rooted in our community, providing prevention, protection and emergency response, with resilient support systems to back up emergency operations.

We are currently seeking an experienced Strategic Performance and Information Management (SPIM) manager. This is an exciting opportunity to join our team during a period of significant change and growth.

As our SPIM Manager, you will take the lead in managing the collation and dissemination of organisational performance through both reports to SLT and quarterly Performance Board. You will also provide support and guidance on the development of our Community Risk Management Plan as well as have responsibility for coordinating good Information Management principles across our organisation. This is a part-time role (0.6 FTE) with flexible working hours and days. We offer a hybrid working model, allowing you to work from a location that suits you, with the expectation that some time (to be agreed) will be spent at our Wymondham HQ to support colleagues.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in challenging performance narratives and reporting performance to senior managers. Experience and / or knowledge of Information Governance is also essential. You should be able to demonstrate how your commercial and interpersonal skills enable you to work across teams in order to support good governance in respect of Information Management. A background in performance reporting and / or information management governance, or a good understanding of these, would be advantageous. Please note that the successful candidate will be required to complete a Standard DBS check before starting in the role and will require a Police vetting check to gain access to our HQ.
