Role Purpose

The role of the IoT Strategic Deal Manager is a key position within the Internet of Things (IoT) Line of Business team, the role is responsible for managing large complex bids for Vodafone's customers and responsible for actively leading Bids across IoT.

The role will be customer facing that aligns closely with the sales teams to ensure deep understanding of customer's business challenges, whilst ensuring support from the Solution, Service, Commercial, Technical, Legal and/ or Regulatory teams to manage the creation of commercial strategies and proposals for increasingly complex deals that deliver growth to the regions.

What you'll do
• Driving the customer specific bid team, as well as the Bid Plan, in line with the bid strategy-ensuring that all activities are completed and that customer deliverables are made on time to ensure a winnable, profitable, and deliverable offer to the customer.
• Creating best-in-class compelling proposals, ensuring customer focus and clear articulation of the Vodafone value proposition against competitors.
• Risk management -ensuring all risks are identified, understood, and mitigated or accepted by the appropriate stakeholders at the appropriate level and at the desired time.
• Continuous improvement, standardisation and harmonisation of bid management best practice, processes, tools, and templates within IoT and with other key stakeholders.

Who you are
• Adequate understanding of the industry including global competitive landscape
• Experience of leading and influencing teams that are: virtual, cross functional, multi-cultural and multilingual.
• Experience of delivering and managing complex bid opportunities
• Strong communication & stakeholder management skills up to C-level.
• Comfortable in driving customer interactions up to C level including proven negotiation skills or otherwise transferable.
• Proven ability to be able to plan and be a strong organiser.
• Able to demonstrate ability to influence and communicate effectively, a strong leader, and adapt to internal and external changes in environment.
• Ideally be qualified/certified in bid (e.g. APMP), commercial and/or project management.
• In depth knowledge of APMP/Shipley based bid management best practice and processes

• Yearly bonus: 10%
