Strategic Commissioning Manager - Healthy Child Programme

As the Strategic Commissioning Manager for the Healthy Child Programmes you will ensure that services across East Sussex are innovative, evidence-based, and meet the needs of children, young people, and their families. You will work closely with key stakeholders, including the Children's Services Department, NHS providers, and voluntary and community organisations, to create lasting, impactful change in the county.

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Have proven experience in commissioning, service development, and budget management within public health or health improvement settings.
  • Have strong leadership skills with a track record of developing multi-agency partnerships.
  • Have a passion for improving health outcomes and reducing health inequalities for children and young people.
  • Are self-motivated, proactive and innovative.

A hybrid working style has been assigned to this role, which allows work to be undertaken at home, as well as on site. The role will require regular in-person meetings at County Hall and elsewhere in the county to deliver Public Health business needs.

Additional Information

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.

Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency's Points-based Immigration System.
