Location: Loxley House, Nottingham, NG2 3NG

Salary: Starting at £53,630, rising to £56,840 per annum (pro-rata for part-time) plus a 10% market supplement

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Hours: 37 hours per week

Work Type: Hybrid (flexible working arrangements available)

The Role

As the Strategic Asset Manager, you will be at the forefront of revolutionising how we manage and utilise public assets. This role is not for the faint-hearted. You'll face the challenge of developing and executing the Council's Corporate Property Strategy, ensuring our assets are used to their fullest potential. You'll lead the charge in designing and implementing property change solutions, navigating complex projects, and driving the transformation of our property services into a more efficient and effective operation.

This role will test your skills in asset performance management, strategic planning and implementation, and operational asset development. You'll be responsible for critical decisions that affect the long-term prosperity of our city, balancing economic efficiency with social responsibility.

What We're Looking For

We need a candidate who thrives under pressure and is motivated by the opportunity to drive real change:

  • MRICS qualification with substantial post-qualification experience.
  • A proven ability to manage and optimise council owned assets, with experience in options appraisal and business case preparation.
  • A solid track record in leading strategic asset management incorporating valuation and managing complex property transactions.
  • Experience in leading property change solutions that have a lasting impact.
  • Experience leading a team of professionals to optimist the estate.
