Stores Manager - Infrastructure

Location - Norfolk

Purpose of the role:

The Stores Manager / Plant Controller will work within the Company to provide the efficient & effective distribution of material / plant supply arrangements via stores facility that supports the project to deliver excellent customer service.

What will you be doing:

Responsible for the set up and overall management of Main Stores.

• Maintain safe & efficient stores facility to service project in line with GT Health and Safety / COSHH audit process.

• Ensure the personal safety & safe working environment of staff.

• Implement security processes to prevent any unauthorized material being taken from stores.

• Ensure all deliveries are supported by official, correctly authorised orders.

• Ensure all deliveries are reconciled daily with SSC Hinkley.

• Ensure all items are stored safely and in line with any statutory requirements.

• Maintain records of all PPE issued.

• Maintain stock records, maintaining minimum and maximum stock levels with regular weekly / monthly stock checks.

• Arranging and managing the hire of plant & equipment.

• Liaising with suppliers over the telephone & in person to maintain relationships, expedite deliveries and ensure prompt payment.

• Dealing with any supplier / project queries in a professional, friendly & timely manner.

• Ensure material & plant requisitions are completed correctly and in timely manner, (full description, required delivery date, cost allocation code, allowance, correct authorisation)

• Ensure all PPE / Plant equipment that is issued is compliant & fit for fit for purpose

• Building strong and collaborative relationships with site and external suppliers alike to deliver first class service to project.

• Attend weekly plant meetings.

Infrastructure (National Highways)
