Digital Analytics Manager - Media Planning

The Media Planning Analytics Manager aids effective and commercially viable use of marketing budgets and activity to support profitable growth. This is done via detailed performance marketing projections and analytical insights, aligning to the digital marketing media investment and marketing/commercial performance strategies across the TUI portfolio. The role is central to formulation of the Digital Performance Marketing media plans to ensure effective utilisation of over £150m marketing budget as a key growth lever to support the commercial ambitions of the business.
The role will work closely with our Digital Marketing Planning team as well as the Performance Marketing channel specialists to provide data models and forecasts for all core interlinking KPIs. This aids a media-neutral, effectiveness led approach to marketing investment, whilst working with our media agency to integrate learnings and strategic insights from our econometrics models into real-world investment plans

ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the GM UK Digital Analytics, as Media Planning Manager you will be responsible for all areas of marketing channel forecasting across TUI's suite of products, including short and long-term media plans.
- Responsible for creating detailed digital marketing media plans, covering marketing spend, passenger and traffic across all digital marketing channels for TUI.co.uk, both short and long term across all of TUI's product portfolio
- Be the key point of contact with our external media agency, building relationships that enable us to fully utilise their expertise and data, making sure key considerations are factored into their planning models and ensuring accountability for deliverables throughout the planning process
- Continually look for ways to improve the process through new data modelling and forecasting techniques, working to drive efficiencies in the existing process and add more sophisticated data modelling techniques where appropriate.
- Lead the long-term media planning process for digital marketing. Work closely with finance, ecommerce, analytics and senior marketing stakeholders to provide a clear long term media plans for all digital marketing channels. This plan needs to utilise the econometrics findings, consider changes in the media marketing landscape, and align with testing frameworks and the overall business targets.
- Seek to maintain an understanding of the factors that drive our commercial performance, combining these insights with detailed analysis of marketing performance trends, implementing learnings to continually improve the accuracy of forecasts. Clearly communicate the subsequent impact on digital marketing and business performance.
- The role involves collaborating closely with the Senior Digital Marketing Planning Manager and other key stakeholders across the marketing channels, presenting complex data to different audiences in a clear and digestible format.
- Use data modelling techniques to provide real-time forecasts based on short term digital marketing performance data. Breakdown complex data into actionable insights to support decisions on media optimisation and budgeting.
- Line management and development of one direct report
ABOUT YOU
- Multiple years of experience in forecasting and/or data modelling, ideally in a digital marketing environment
- Comfortable using an array of data visualisation tools such as Excel, Looker Studio or Tableau
- Preferable to have experience in using analytics solutions - R/Python, Adobe Analytics, Google analytics
- Ability to stay organised, multi-task and prioritise in a fast paced environment and evolving industry
- Logical problem solver with excellent attention to detail and strong analytical and numerical skills, happy to dive into the detail but also able to think strategically and set long term goals
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, including ability to communicate complex data effectively to senior audiences
- Thrives in a collaborative team environment with strong interpersonal skills and teamwork focus, team management experience preferable
- Strong commercial acumen is essential
- Able to travel to our Luton based office at least one day per week
