Location: Battersea, SW11
Hours: Full-time (40 hours - five days a week - including weekends)
Store opening hours:
10am - 8pm Monday to Saturday
10am - 6pm Sunday
Borough Kitchen, a leading cook shop that offers the best tools and products for at-home entertaining, is looking for an experienced and passionate Store Manager to join our brand new store in Battersea.
As a Store Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service, managing inventory, coaching and developing team members, and achieving sales goals. Reporting directly to one of our Directors, you will work within an environment that values quality, functionality, and durability and will have the opportunity to help foster a culture that stays true to these values.
Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire a talented team of 6 Sales Associates and an Assistant Manager to provide excellent customer service
- Meet sales goals by training, motivating, mentoring and providing feedback to sales staff and intensive product training
- Planning staff levels and rota based on staff availability and business needs
- Train, coach and develop employees in product knowledge, customer service and sales
- Manage the store team, including performance reviews
- Manage inventory levels and control stock accuracy
- Resolving customer issues in a satisfactory and cost effective manner
- Oversee merchandising and product placement within the store
- Create a positive and inclusive working environment by promoting teamwork, communication and collaboration
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies and procedures
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as a successful retail manager
- A genuine passion for cooking and entertaining
- Proven ability to manage and motivate a team to achieve sales targets and exceptional customer satisfaction
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage inventory and stock control
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
