Head of Learning
This job is brought to you by Jobs/Redefined, the UK's leading over-50s age inclusive jobs board.
An enviable opportunity to join a dynamic, passionate and close-knit team, firmly focused on exceptional school services centred around their communities.
Bridgend County Borough has a beautiful and diverse geography, with valleys in the north and miles of coastline and beaches to the south. The M4 corridor runs right through the centre of the county borough, and we have main-line rail links to Cardiff and London to the east, and Swansea in the west. We are a well-connected and passionate place, with our communities at our heart!
Due to the retirement of the current postholder, we are now seeking a credible individual to step into the critical role of Head of Learning. This is a rare opportunity to make a real impact on school improvement, additional learning needs provision, and school modernisation across the county borough. Working with a core group of remarkable education providers, internal colleagues and elected members alike, this role will suit an exceptional candidate of equal passion and ambition.
With a clear three-year strategic plan, you will join the largest directorate here at Bridgend County Borough Council, with a firm focus on building upon the excellent relationships that already exist and delivering for the future together. With substantial experience in the education sector, ideally as a senior officer within a local government education service or as a headteacher, you will form part of our high performing team focused on improving outcomes for all children and young people.
A role like this does not appear often, therefore if you have the experience, value-set and vision to further shape the future of education in Bridgend County Borough, we want to hear from you.
