This is your opportunity to join Deloitte Real Estate M&A team - an exciting and growing Real Estate M&A and Corporate Finance team. The team advises on acquisitions, divestments, buy-outs and capital raisings across the Real Estate sector. A significant number of transactions are cross-border or international in nature. The team has led a number of deals of different sizes (from mid-market to large cap transactions) across all sub-segments of Real Estate. The team is further supported by specialists in tax, diligence, valuations, development, planning, business modelling and debt advisory.
Deloitte has a strong European Real Estate M&A franchise. The team enjoys strong visibility and access to a wide spectrum of investor clients as well as corporate owners via the extensive Deloitte network. You will be working with real estate clients in Private Equity, Pension funds, Listed institutional landlords and Family Offices.
We are interested to speak to talented individuals with an advisory/M&A background, ideally with experience in real estate. You may have trained at an investment bank, or another corporate finance house.

We operate across all Real Estate sub sectors and are seeing a resurgence in real estate M&A activity focused on residential, logistics, data centres and leisure. We are also working on transactions repositioning assets in the office and retail sectors.
As an Assistant Director in the RE team you will be:
- Leading the execution of several advisory projects, interacting on a day-to-day basis with clients, other teams and co-advisors
- Contributing to deal origination by networking with clients and co-advisors and using commercial judgement to assess potential deals
- Contributing to elaborate the strategic and tactical roadmaps for clients co-ordinating across the Real Assets and Infrastructure advisory teams as well as wider Corporate Finance teams
- Working independently in several cases with other teams' Partners to deliver Real Estate M&A advice
- Leading the deal team's day-to-day management of transaction processes
- Overseeing the preparation of financial models, information packs, management presentations, financial analysis packs and managing client communication
- Mentoring the team and building out the team culture and setting the right example as a senior team member.

- You can collect and analyse complex data from appropriate sources to extract insights and develop informed recommendations that shape or support project objectives.
- You can deliver effective presentations and reports to convey clear messaging and insights to clients and stakeholders.
- You can manage a team of high performing individuals while working with minimal regular oversight to deliver projects on tight timelines.
- You are interested and aware of trends in the market that impact our clients.
Key required experience:
Successful applicants will be able to demonstrate:
- Strong corporate finance experience, ideally in Investment Banking or M&A boutiques or in M&A teams of Big4
- Experience in Real Estate and Real Estate backed industries like Leisure
- Track record of having originated and executed real estate M&A transactions
- Experience in having led and mentored junior team members
- Good communication skills (required) and experience at delivering effective presentations and reports to convey clear messaging and insights to clients and stakeholders
- A commitment to delivering an exceptional service to clients, with ability to work quickly and establish effective working relationships
- A sound commercial acumen and understanding of real estate markets
- Perfect fluency in oral and written English

Infrastructure and Real Estate
Our Infrastructure and Real Estate team supports both public and private sector clients on complex infrastructure, real estate, and capital projects. Typical engagements include urban regeneration, transport, energy and renewables, and occupier advisory to central government and large corporate companies.

Regulation and controls are standard practice in our industry and Deloitte is no exception. These controls provide important legal protection for both you and the firm. We are subject to a number of audit regulations, one of which requires that certain colleagues abide by specific personal independence constraints (e.g., in relation to any financial interests and employment relationships). This can mean that you and your "Immediate Family Members" are not permitted to hold certain financial interests (shares, funds, bonds etc.) with audit clients of the firm, and also prohibitions on certain employment relationships (e.g., you are not permitted to hold a secondary employment role with SEC audit clients of the firm whilst being employed by the firm).
