We're excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Stock & Systems Manager to join our brand-new Imports Centre in Ellesmere Port.
In this role, you'll be at the heart of shaping and executing our inventory management strategy, focusing on controlling costs, improving order efficiency, and rationalising inventory. This is an incredible opportunity for someone with the vision to drive improvements and grow within the company.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the General Manager to create and roll out stock and systems strategies that enhance operations at our distribution centre.
- Oversee the day-to-day management of stock and systems, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently.
- Spot opportunities for process enhancements and introduce new ways of working to optimise stock management.
- Ensure that warehouse space is utilised effectively, meeting all stock demands.
- Oversee stock control, with a focus on availability, service levels, security, and ongoing process improvements.
- Use our Warehouse Management System (WMS) to predict stock patterns and demands, helping the team stay ahead of the game.
- Manage, motivate, and mentor a team of Stock System Super Users, fostering a collaborative, high-performing work environment.
- Work closely with the management team to meet and exceed stock and system KPIs, using your strong influencing skills.
- Regularly review stock lines and optimise SKU locations to ensure the most efficient picking routes for our warehouse operatives.
What We're Looking For
- Experience with JDA systems and Kronos is a bonus.
- A basic understanding of stock management systems to ensure accurate tracking.
- Some prior experience managing or leading a small team is highly desirable.
- Previous experience in a stock or systems role in a high-volume warehouse environment.
- Understanding of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- Ability to spot inefficiencies and contribute to positive changes within the distribution centre.
