Job description
Total People, one of the UK's leading apprenticeship providers and part of LTE Group, now have an exciting opportunity for talented professionals to come and join our team in the position of Stakeholder Engagement Manager within our Adult Skills team on a permanent, full-time basis, working 37 hours per week.
We are seeking a passionate and driven Stakeholder Engagement Manager to support unemployed individuals into sustainable employment through skills development and training opportunities.
In this role, you will build and manage relationships with key partners including DWP, local authorities, Jobcentre Plus, employers, and prospective learners. You will provide guidance from initial engagement through to enrolment on a range of work-based and classroom learning programmes, maximising the use of Adult Skills Funding.
You will proactively identify recruitment needs, develop tailored solutions from Total People's programme offer, and manage a portfolio of stakeholders and employer opportunities across Greater Manchester. You will also gather market intelligence to support continuous improvement of our services.
This is a fast-paced role requiring strong organisation, independence, and a learner-focused approach, alongside a solid understanding of the Adult Skills Fund.

The key responsibilities of this role are as follows:
To manage a portfolio of stakeholders for learner referrals and employers with job opportunities within Greater Manchester for our Adult Skills Funding.
To work closely with employers and stakeholders to identify opportunities which enables learners to become economically active citizens within the GMCA area and supports the local agenda to get local people into local jobs. Please see the attached job description for more details.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Essential
- Educated to degree level or above or experience in a similar role
Previous Experience
- Proven, recent, sales experience demonstrated in a skills environment, ideally from within the private training / education sector
- Proven recent experience in the skills sector, including closing, prospecting, planning, selling to customer needs, territory and account management, market knowledge, meeting targets.
- Highly professional and able to maintain appropriate confidentialities
Job Specific Skills:
- To achieve KPI's set by the Adult Skills Operations Manager around minimum call targets and prioritising focus on appropriate sector or corporate business when required
- Provide a weekly schedule of planned activities which include participation in agreed promotional events: plan diary to make effective use of working day
- To ensure that the business is operated to the highest standards and with a professional ethos in line with the Mission, Vision and Values of Total People and LTE group
- Effective team-working: to work in a way that contributes to, and promotes, a collaborative and supportive culture within own team and across all of Total People; to build and sustain positive working relations with colleagues and other stakeholders; to pass on new information to relevant stakeholders and Total People colleagues promoting a sharing team-working environment
- Contribute to the Sales & Marketing Strategy
- To work flexibly as and when required including, where necessary, any Total
- People or group site, or on external premises, and to carry out other duties as may be required of you by the business from time to time
