Main purpose of the role:

Working within the Events Team to ensure we are attracting, recruiting training and developing, an elite core team of front of house staff to represent our brand to the highest standard. This core team will be able to support and strengthen our delivery at events, stand out from our competitors and provide a sustainable and profitable staffing function.

Key responsibilities

Team
• Assisting in creating a recruitment strategy with your line manager and Head of Operations to attract high calibre staff, targeting different pools of candidates to furnish the yearly cycle of events.
• Recruit and interview staff in line with our company standards.
• Meet and develop relationships with supporting staffing agencies to ensure we are a priority partner.
• Constantly review our training and induction process to ensure communication of Rocket brand values to existing and new staff.
• Develop the front of house staff for succession planning and progression to aid retention.
• Ensure all front of house staff adhere to all company policies.
• Book all event staff (7,000 shifts across approximately 350 evets a year) producing accurate timesheets and security lists for venues.
• Manage our staffing software (Event Works, HR Portal, People Works and Our Time) to ensure we maximise potential of its capabilities.
• Ensure staff are signed in at venues to support Events and Operations Managers and ensure the quality of staff presentation is immaculate.
• Asist the Operations team delivering events and working in a support role within Front of House to get to know your team and monitor the quality of their deliverables.
• Organise and present training sessions and continuously develop the skills of all staff in conjunction with the rest of the Operations team.
• Supporting the Operations Team on events as required.
• Identify key staff and their strengths and ensure staff are evenly distributed throughout our events for optimum support.
• Organise staff events and create and engage a culture and team spirit amongst front of house staff.
• Arrange transport, provisions for staff and schedules where necessary.

Operations, reporting and accountability
• Ensure compliance with industry regulatory bodies and all current legislation - licensing, hygiene and health & safety.
• Meet recruitment targets agreed monthly/annually as set by the Head of Operations.
• To meet Rocket vs Agency staffing ratio in line with targets set.
• Providing timely and accurate payroll information to accounts team for staffing payroll.
• Ensure feedback is collated by Event Managers and senior Front of House staff to aid development of the front of house team.
• Attend meetings where necessary to aid planning of staffing on events.
• To be first point of contact for staff members to support Events teams.
• Research our clients to ensure full understanding of our delivery needs.
• Ensure client correspondence is timely, professional, and comprehensive, ensuring relevant and vital information is communicated with Rocket Food.
• Establishing a strong Rocket HQ Front of House and tasting team for peak months and proving support for tastings.

• Attend events to gain an understanding of working environment and self development
• Assist Events team operationally where necessary
• Project a positive image always and lead by example
• Optimise guest experience with a welcoming, friendly and efficient team - ensuring we are developing the team as we increase our findings and knowledge
• Report potential hazards and maintenance issues to your line manager
• Facilitate cohesion and a good working relationship with all other colleagues
