Your Impact:
We are looking for a Project Finance Manager to join our growing Professional Services team. Within Professional Services you can expect supportive engagement from your manager, you will be part of a friendly and diverse team, you will be expected to obtain and maintain the appropriate certifications for your role through training & memberships, and will have access to local and worldwide opportunities for growth within Professional Services and the wider Open Text.
What the role offers:
- Managing project finances (costs, revenue, P&L, forecasts) to meet or exceed budgets/targets
- Achievement of the Professional Services target for the customer(s) to which the Project Finance Manager is aligned
- Achievement of Delivery Margin targets on activities following successful proposals
- Ensuring the timely month-end revenue recognition, invoicing, 3P cost accruals for the allocated portfolio of projects
- Analytical review of financial data and ability to investigate variances and request corrections where appropriat
- Ensure timely timesheet submissions and approvals for all resources working on the projects
- Maintain accurate forecast: revenue, cost, resource allocation
- Provide regular updates to management regarding the health of the portfolio
- What-if analysis
- Gain share analysis
- Cost analysis for Fixed-price milestone projects
- Analysis of revenue recognition vs invoicing
Commercial Management:
- Assist in shaping proposals / SOWs and in managing these through approval/governance
- Assist with back-to-back SOWs
- Collaborate with Finance, Procurement, and Resource Management functions
- Ensure accurate pricing in line with the appropriate framework, define revenue and invoice milestones, and revenue recognition methods
- Understand the key terms of the SOW/framework and ensure continuous adherence to the requirements
- Maintain appropriate project backup documentation
- Participate in internal and external audits.
What you need to succeed:
- Managing a range of projects, from a portfolio of smaller projects to larger more complex engagements, even multi-country projects.
- Key operational policies, processes, and methodologies applicable to project management.
- Project risk management.
- Agile (preferably Scaled Agile) frameworks, methods, and techniques.
- Traditional waterfall methods.
- Time & Materials and Fixed Price contracts.
- Bid management/business development.
- Technologies within, or similar to, the OpenText product portfolio that includes IT Operations Management, Application Delivery Management, Cyber Resilience, Big Data, and Information Management & Governance.
- Commercial/Legal Awareness
- Previous experience in a Finance, Accounting, or Project Management role with a focus on managing project financials.
- Professional certification such as ACCA will be an advantage.
- Training in the development or use of processes, procedures, frameworks, methods, or techniques to achieve specific objectives according to acceptance criteria within agreed parameters.
The successful candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a high level of Security Clearance. This is a hybrid role, and the successful candidate will be required to work from various customer locations on a regular basis in London and West (3 days per week).
