We are seeking an experienced, self-motivated and passionate professional to join our team as Sr. Install Operations Manager. This role will be responsible for the deployment and maintenance of Amazon Key products through our network of 3rd party install partners across multiple regions. The Sr. Install Operation manager will develop and execute the long-term strategic vision for install operations, drive operational excellence, and scale our partner network while optimizing costs and quality. This position requires deep technical expertise in access control/intercom systems, process improvement skills and strong vendor management capabilities. This is a strategic role that will shape the future of our installation services while driving innovation in our product development.
A day in the life
• Manage multiple external Install partners that will install Amazon Key devices in residential buildings.
• Ensure Install Operations run smoothly, keeping a high bar in terms of install speed and install quality
• Define initiatives to improve install success and time to install
• Own P&L for your country/partners for installation operations, including budget planning, cost optimization, and revenue growth strategies
• Develop and execute multi-year strategic roadmap for Install Operations, including partner network expansion, technology innovation, and operational efficiency improvements
• Scout for new install partner and onboard them in the network, in order to increase our coverage and/or reduce costs and/or improve quality
• Establish KPIs and metrics framework to measure operational excellence and partner performance
• Execution of both remote and onsite trainings for targeted tech teams.
• Compilation and delivery of test result datasets to relevant stakeholders
• Serve as expert resource for end user support workflows
• Support with on-site investigation when needed
About the team
The Amazon Key team sits within the Amazon Devices team alongside Ring and other Home Security teams. Key is a uniquely cross-functional team within Amazon, and often serves as the connective tissue between Smart Home/Devices, Logistics, Operations, and Retail/Shopping. We are the bridge between device management and physical services, and our team indexes highly on ownership and collaboration. We have lots of stakeholders, and we have relentlessly high standards for our high-visibility programs.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- - Bachelor's degree
- - Deep understanding of IoT technologies and smart building ecosystems
- - Experience managing P&L and building business cases for strategic initiatives
- - Strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven decision making
- - C1 English proficiency + additional 1 out of C1 German, Italian
- - Experience in developing, negotiating and executing business agreements
- - Experience in building a lead pipeline and in qualifying leads
