The role
We are looking for a Sponsorship Manager to join our BEStudio Sponsorship team, within the ITV Commercial Team.
As Sponsorship Manager, your primary responsibility will be to actively project manage the sponsorship deals assigned to you, across all elements of the deal including Broadcast, Digital, Social and Licensing.
You'll be the key point of contact between agency partners and all internal/external stakeholders, and will be in charge of ensuring that all elements of the delivery for the sponsorship campaign are managed centrally. You'll develop excellent relationships with clients and agencies to make sure that during the period of the sponsorship campaign we continue to evolve the commercial proposition and provide opportunities for brands to deepen their integration with each programme or package.
You'll operate as the commercial brand champion for the sponsorship opportunities assigned to you, creating market-leading sales strategies and delivering these with collaboration, energy and enthusiasm.
Please note that this is a Project Management/Activation role. Whilst an important and key part of the role is to support and assist the Commercial Sales Team, the primary function is to activate and project manage the sponsorship deals assigned.
Responsibilities:
- Acting as the Commercial Teams 'Brand Champion' for the programme properties assigned to you
- Working hand in glove with the appropriate stakeholders to ensure that the maximum commercial opportunity is scoped and created across each property
- Liaising with both internal & external production teams to ensure that we have the widest possible advance on programme information, schedule information & show franchise information
- Regularly presenting the scale & depth of programme properties to the Commercial Sales Team
- Ensuring that the Commercial Sales Team is kept fully abreast of any changes to programmes, be that of scheduling, creative format or any other nature
- Producing sponsorship sales material, sometimes in its entirety and sometimes with supporting team/s, always at market leading standards
- Pitching programmes / sponsorship opportunities to external clients & agencies in tandem with the Commercial Sales Team
- Maintaining collaborative working relationships with key ITV stakeholders including Traffic, Marketing, Press, Music Rights, Legal, Compliance, Commissioning and Finance
- Successfully account managing the sponsorships assigned to you across Broadcast, Digital, Social and Licensing, from pre-sale pitch stage, through to liaison with Clients, Creative Agencies, Compliance, Production, Marketing, Scheduling & Agency media teams, delivery of all assets and into Post Campaign Analysis stage
- Supporting the Deputy Sponsorship Controller and Sponsorship Controller in developing new formats for sponsorship, investigating new market trends, building more creative ideas around sponsorship properties & generally ensuring that we are developing market leading solutions in this area, thus helping to grow our sponsorship properties beyond their current base
Skills you'll need (minimum criteria)
- Solid experience in project management and client servicing
- Sponsorship experience ideally from a broadcast or agency background
- Strong knowledge of brands and marketing strategy
Other things we're looking for (key criteria)
- An understanding of the TV trading market
- Proactive approach to work and ability to work independently on a large number of projects
- Proven experience in building and maintaining commercial relationships with agency contacts and clients
- Experience of writing and delivering compelling sales presentations to agency planners and clients
- Excellent communicator, skilled at delivering challenging news to clients and agencies
