Consulting brings together multiple teams across Transactions, Risk & Consulting, ABA, and Outsourcing to provide client-centric solutions for RSM's current and future clients within the middle market. Our Consulting team has a major role to play in driving forward the growth of the firm with over 1,700 people delivering almost £200m revenue.

RSM Corporate Finance is currently seeking dynamic and motivated Manager to work in Special Situations M&A. RSM's Special Situations Group is a partner-led team that integrates expertise in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and restructuring to deliver tailored solutions for businesses navigating significant change or financial distress. Supporting both sell-side and buy-side stakeholders, the team works with corporates, lenders, and other financial stakeholders across the UK and globally, providing dynamic transaction support to achieve optimal outcomes.
You'll make an impact by:
- Assisting in preparing high-quality marketing materials, including IMs and teasers, to support Special Situation transactions
- Analysing operational performance and profitability to develop actionable reports and recommendations for underperforming businesses
- Working closely with senior personnel and other stakeholders, ensure effective communication throughout engagements
- Project managing the delivery of engagements and reports to a high standard
- Assisting in the preparation of pitch documents and materials

We value diverse experiences and perspectives. Here's what we're looking for in our ideal candidate:
- Proven ability to lead and deliver smaller M&A transactions, including managing day-to-day workstreams, coordinating stakeholders, and driving projects to completion.
- Experience negotiating SPAs, working-capital mechanisms, and key commercial terms, with confidence engaging directly with clients, counterparties, and advisors.
- Background in Transactions, M&A, Financial Due Diligence, or Restructuring at Manager level (or equivalent), with hands-on deal exposure.
- Strong analytical capability, able to review financial and operational data for completeness, accuracy, and commercial relevance.
- Robust financial analysis skills, including understanding of financial statements, KPIs, normalised earnings, and working-capital trends.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to produce clear, concise reports and present findings to senior stakeholders.
- Commercially minded problem-solver, able to identify key value drivers, risks, and opportunities within a transaction.
