This role is fundamental to driving business performance and maximising the businesses profit opportunity. You lead a team of 2 analysts who use their expertise to provide the Space, Range & Display team with valuable insights and recommendations to optimise our store space. You will work closely with the category teams to ensure we are optimising our macro space for profit while fulfilling business strategic objectives.

The successful applicant will need experience in the food retail sector as well as interpreting and communicating complex data. You should have hands-on experience of Microsoft Office in particular Excel, while knowledge of Power Bi & SQL would be beneficial. Strong people management and leadership behaviours are vital.

What you'll do

Your key accountabilities will include

  • Deliver to the Space, Range & Display critical path, whilst leading your team and influencing others to ensure your team meet their deadlines
  • Work with our macro space model to produce optimised space recommendations for each planning season
  • Present macro space recommendations to Head of Trade, Trading Managers and Buyers to gather their feedback in optimising macro space across the business
  • Work with Space planner colleagues to land the optimised space recommendations for each season and provide opportunities for rework where required
  • Develop and maintain Space, Range & Display Insights hub which will contain reporting to cover all of SRDs reporting requirements

  • Knowledge of Power Bi
  • Awareness of using SQL or an enthusiasm to learn
