Nokia is seeking a seasoned defense leader for a role of Space and Defence Cyber Security Director - UK/NATO. This critical position will be responsible for shaping and driving Nokia's cybersecurity strategy across the space and defense sectors, ensuring the resilience and security of next-generation communication networks. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of defense-grade cybersecurity requirements, regulatory frameworks, and emerging threats within the UK and NATO operational landscape.

Responsibilities

  • The Space and Defence Cyber Security Director Solution Manager leads the creation and development of end-to-end solutions, optimising the use of Nokia's multi-BG and BL portfolios to achieve the customer vision and requirements. Ensures the alignment of the end-to-end solution offering with the BG's respective product roadmaps as well as revenue and cost allocations. Drives the maturity of the solution towards industrialised offering and delivery, while ensuring both best-in-class solutions and high profitability. Is the prime marketer and promoter of the solution across all markets.
  • Ensures the Defence viability of the product and adherence to Defence Security Standards (NIST / Secure by Design / JSP 440 etc.)
  • Support the Space and Defence team with their understanding of Space and Defence Security processes.
  • Liaise across government partners to ensure coherence of solution with security classification requirements.
  • Expert knowledge of MOD procurement processes
  • Ability to conduct Defence Staff engagement (Business Cases development), communications planning, capability integration and hands-on field work if required
  • Military experience of tactical, operational and strategic communications on exercise and operations.
  • Understands CADMID process / Annual Budget Cycle.
  • 5VEY/NATO/International experience of capability development and managing international relationships.
  • Build relationships with Defence users / Staff Officer / Capability Planning Teams / Defence and National Security organisations.
  • Defence Security Vetting / Direct access to user.
  • Feedback security technical requirement into S&D CTO/R&D/SLT
  • Support the wider Nokia Security team.
  • Battlespace Technology experience highly desirable.
  • Creates a culture security and Defence awareness.
