Salary: Competitive Depending on skills and experience

What you will be doing:

  • Provide technical design guidance across multidisciplinary teams, ensuring best practices and optimal solutions
  • Undertake independent cross-system design governance, ensuring alignment with standards and goals
  • Define and drive technology strategy, anticipating future developments
  • Develop resolution strategies for complex technical challenges, mitigating risks and ensuring smooth project execution
  • Act as the Technical Authority, providing expert sign-off and accountability for critical design and implementation decisions

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Expertise in one or more of the following areas: Data Networking, Communication Systems, Telephony, or Electronics
  • Engineering degree or equivalent industry-recognised technical qualification
  • Hands-on experience in the full product or data network development and deployment lifecycle

Desirable:

  • Chartered Engineer status or an equivalent professional networking certification
  • Previous experience in technical authority roles, including final design approval or technical sign-off

The Network and Communications team:

The Network and Communications team is at the forefront of designing, developing, qualifying, procuring, and integrating cutting-edge systems that enhance platform performance. We collaborate closely with key suppliers to drive product innovation and qualification, support wider engineering teams to ensure seamless system integration, and assist build teams in the successful deployment of our products.

Our work spans a broad spectrum—from detailed engineering design and technical justification to hands-on testing in dedicated environments, where we rigorously validate our equipment’s performance.
