The role:
Our real estate team are looking to recruit an ambitious Solicitor or Senior Solicitor (dependant on PQE), to work on a wide range of property related matters for clients ranging from the NHS and private sector organisations that operate in the healthcare sector.
This role will be to support across the team which will involve handling a highly varied workload including but not limited to sales, acquisitions as well as some finance work plus landlord and tenant matters; combining an understanding of the development process coupled with the requirements and constraints of the private sector, healthcare and the not-for-profit sectors.
Experience of working within the Healthcare sector would be advantageous, but is not essential, as the successful candidate will be commercially minded, who can work closely with our clients and provide an efficient, friendly and jargon-free service on a wide range of commercial property matters.
The team:
Our Real Estate team regularly advises NHS bodies, independent sector providers of health and social care services on a broad range of property matters. As well as advising ICBs, Trusts, primary care providers and private healthcare organisations.
The team have a dynamic and varied mix of work across both the private and public sectors with considerable experience of acting for clients with multi-sector expertise which we believe, is rarely found in any other law firm. We act on acquisitions, disposals and leases with a capital value of over half a billion pounds, annually.
Skills and competencies:
Corporate support on mergers and acquisitions, particularly in the independent health sector
Property due diligence on secured lending transactions
Negotiation of leases and associated landlord and tenant matters - acting for landlord and tenants
Title investigation and reporting
Deed of Easements, Licences, Tenancy at Will
Providing property support to the wider real estate team
Supporting business development of the team and able to meet with clients and intermediaries.
Developing your own relationships with clients / intermediaries.
Flexible and willing to take on a varied workload.
Candidate specification:
You will have proven experience of advising in all areas of commercial property law and practice, ideally within the sector but other relevant experience will be considered
Proven landlord and tenant experience
Excellent communication, organisation and research skills
Excellent attention to detail
Demonstrable ability to manage own caseload and adhering to client deadlines.
Work effectively as part of a team
Prioritise key tasks and work under pressure
Proactive and be keen to take part in business development
Keen to take on challenging work and able to adapt to varying situations from time to time.
