What you'll do
- Serve as a single point of contact across one or more squads, maintaining consistency across multiple teams and supporting tech leads and engineers to deliver effective and high-quality work.
- Focus on key team metrics to measure and drive improvements.
- Prioritise customer experience by ensuring our technical solutions meet and exceed expectations
- Take ownership of services in production by leveraging analytics, synthetic monitoring, and alerting systems.
- Act as the custodian of the team, staying informed about all ongoing work, the roadmap, and the long-term vision.
- Collaborate closely with fellow Engineering Managers in the Channels organization and My Vodafone to foster the exchange of ideas and promote reuse.
- Influence the team culture in a hybrid working environment, driving technical initiatives with emphasis on strategic department goals.
- Reduce deep detractors by identifying and addressing pain points in the customer journey.
- Manage 5-10 engineers across disciplines, support their growth, and celebrate their successes.
Who you are
- Passionate about good user interface, reusability of code and quality
- You are knowledgeable and passionate about software development
- Solid experience working in an agile development environment
- Excellent experience in delivering timely, high-quality software
- Using automation and CICD pipelines to decrease time to production whilst maintaining quality of applications you build
- You have a passion for building, supporting and maintaining high quality teams with focuses on the individual as well as the team
- Great communication skills to be able to communicate to key stakeholders
