Job Description

Working alongside Product and Delivery counterparts, you'll be expected to help your team fulfil their roadmap commitments while keeping quality and sustainability in mind. Although not a coding role, you'll have come from a development background and will be able to read and review code, all in the pursuit of improving people and products.

Our ideal candidate is technical, collaborative, organised, and committed to delivering quality products and services which solve business problems. Communication skills are very important; online and offline, verbal and written, to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What you'll do

Your key accountabilities will include:

  • Inspiring your team through effective line management, including performance and growth
  • Owning the team's tech stream of work, collaborating with your Product counterpart to ensure a constant delivery
  • Collaboration with senior engineers on technical design and delivery
  • Mentoring and training engineers
  • Driving a culture of continuous improvement

Who you are

Your skills and experience will include:

  • Managing the performance and ways of working of a cross functional product delivery team at the individual and team level
  • Designing and delivering secure, scalable and performant cloud-hosted solutions (ideally Azure)
  • Detailed knowledge of how to organise and run a team within a DevOps model, ideally using tools such as New Relic, Dynatrace, and PagerDuty
  • Collaborating with other teams in a distributed organization to manage dependencies and intra-team deliveries, both personally and through the Atlassian suite
  • Prioritise work offering differing types of value, with the ability to balance trade-offs
