Job title: Software Development Team Lead

Salary: Up to £60,000 dependent on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead and manage a small, dedicated team of software developers, setting clear goals and objectives.
- Promoting best practices and continuous improvement.
- Regular stakeholder engagement, setting priorities and ensuring projects are delivered to plan.
- Actively participating in software development from planning, design, through to delivery into programmes.
- Provide coaching and identify opportunities within the team for learning to our apprentices coming in through our BAE Systems apprentice scheme.
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Experience leading and managing a team of Software Developers
- Proven experience working with Software Programming Languages (Java or C#) and object orientated analysis and design experience and or certification
- Understanding of software development methodologies
- Product Lifecycle management (PLM) experience
Desirable:
- PTC Windchill or Siemens Teamcentre experience

The PLM Digital Development Team:
Our PLM Digital development team develops software capability into our current Global Combat Ship (GCS) programme and future programmes.
You will draw on your experience to actively develop capability, provide leadership and direction, and work alongside peers to meet or exceed our strategic objectives.
This role will primarily be focused on the configuration and development of our PLM solution and the integration into a global enterprise maintaining an end-to-end global digital thread.
