Quantitative Sales Manager

This job is brought to you by Jobs/Redefined, the UK's leading over-50s age inclusive jobs board.

The Mix Global is an insight agency on a mission to make insights famous for the world's leading brands. Since 2012, we've been finding ways to celebrate what it's like to be a human being in the world today across our diverse client base.

On the back of significant growth in 2023 and 2024, we built a new quant division called The Measure. Marketers have been led to believe that the ideal way to make decisions is through fast, automated, ready-to-go solutions. Some have become obsessed with big data, fast data or data 'scraped' by AI.

But they all forget about people. The industry throws technology at the problem, sometimes without spending enough time framing the question, thinking about the growth opportunity or how to get the business behind it.

The Measure connects numbers to what they really stand for:knowledge, behaviour, and people.

Because we know that behind every data point is a human story or experience.

We marry the principles of data humanism, behavioural science and data journalism to design strategically-driven, creatively-charged quantitative research that elevates insight to decision making.

We are now looking to support the growth of The Measure by having a dedicated sales resource in-house.

If you're excited about and have the aptitude to become the driving force behind shaping the presence of one of the UK's most in-demand insight agencies, this is your opportunity.

We are looking for:

To sell quantitative research, we believe you have to understand how quantitative works, and so we are looking for a dedicated sales person who has had quant training or practised as a quant market researcher prior to migrating over to a sales role.

We're also looking for someone with at least 2-3 years in a sales role subsequent to their initial experience in the field of quantitative market research.

The role: what you'll do

Lead generation

  • Be able to use the collateral & case studies from The Measure in order to generate leads amongst our identified target client lists
  • Target clients will come predominantly from CPG/Sports/Tech
  • Be able to work across US and UK/EMEA
  • Be confident in using our CRM platform (Hubspot)
  • Be able to confidently talk to the quant process that we are selling and be able to navigate questions that come from potential clients
  • Be able to spot potential opportunities and follow those leads in order to convert them into new clients
  • Be comfortable in putting together proposals, collaborating with additional team members where necessary
  • You're skilled at spotting opportunities, opening up conversations and building relationships
  • You're excited by a fast-paced environment and can effectively juggle multiple priorities
  • You're strategic but a highly capable do-er. You have a can-do attitude and recognise that as a team no job is too small for anyone
  • Work with key account teams and help identify any potential opportunities for cross selling quant and/or pitching to new divisions within existing clients

What does great look like? In this role, success is measured by:

  • Meeting lead generation targets
  • Reporting to, and communicating regularly with, our Head of Business Development and Head of The Measure
  • Spotting opportunities that may also benefit The Mix Global as a whole

Perks of working for The Mix:

  • We have been working a 4-day week since 2017 - that is right, we don't work Fridays!
  • We offer 25 days of annual holiday plus public holidays.
  • Healthshield cash back plan
  • Unlimited access to coaching sessions through More Happi.
  • We offer an international sabbatical for those with us for 3 years (3 weeks working in another country / 2 weeks additional annual leave).
  • We are part of the Cycle to Work scheme.
  • We are a sociable team that enjoys team lunches, monthly drinks, and quarterly team activities.

Salary: £55,000 - £60,000
