Social Value Manager - Infrastructure, Highways

Location - Gloucestershire

Purpose of the role:

  • The successful candidate will be an important interface for the scheme and will therefore have care and consideration in how they represent the Galliford Try brand as well as the project.
  • Manage internal and external communications for the project, in collaboration with the project team and the council
  • Manage and co-ordinate stakeholders affected by the project.
  • Plan, implement and deliver social value for the project, which delivers meaningful impact in the area.

Key Objectives of the role:

  • The successful candidate will be an important interface for the scheme and will therefore have care and consideration in how they represent the Galliford Try brand as well as the project.
  • Manage internal and external communications for the project, in collaboration with the project team and the council
  • Manage and co-ordinate stakeholders affected by the project.
  • Plan, implement and deliver social value for the project, which delivers meaningful impact in the area.
  • Revise and develop a social value strategy for the project, including a 12 month look ahead with key milestones established as well as accountability from the team to support its delivery.
  • Support the creation and delivery of the employment and skills plans.
  • Set targets, monitor and report the social value outputs of the scheme, based on the national TOMS toolkit and in line with PPN/06, as well as the targets agreed at tender stage
  • Build a communications plan with the project team and co-ordinate regular external comms as set out in the plan, and required by Leicestershire Council
  • Collaborate with the project team to maximise social impact

Key Accountabilities:

Create a knowingly safe working environment.

  • Collaborate with internal Business Units
  • Maintain complete organisation of all information.
  • Provide monthly reports against social value targets
  • Ensure complaints, queries and compliments are responded to and resolved within 24 hours
  • Keep up to date records of key stakeholders and any concerns the project team should mitigate

Technical / Professional Qualifications Required

  • Min 2.1 Degree is preferable but not essential.
  • UK Driver's license with flexibility to travel as required.
  • IT literate, Microsoft 365
