Social Media Manager

Leaders are looking for a Social Media Manager to serve as a key member of our Content team. Reporting directly to the Senior Content Manager, this individual will play a key role in helping to bring the company's social media strategy to life across key digital channels. The individual will need to be able to bring their creative license and marketing expertise to the position in order to help elevate Leader's presence and performance on social channels.
Key Accountabilities:
- Managing Leaders' social media channels spanning content ideation, copywriting and analysis.
- Working with Leaders' Senior Content Manager to produce a social media strategy which is clear, compelling and with flexibility to test and learn.
- Maintaining and updating the internal social media calendar for Leaders, as well as managing the related communications.
- Working closely with Content, Events, Commercial and Marketing teams to ensure social media activity and objectives are aligned to key business goals.
- Creating engaging and visual content using templated designs and branded assets, in line with the the tone of voice used by the company.
- Making short-form videos, optimised for mobile consumption to support marketing efforts.
- Assisting in the content creation initiatives taking place in the Leaders' in-house studio, including podcasts and interviews.
- Working collaboratively with third parties and suppliers to produce occasional "hero" content.
- Producing recommendations from social media analysis to inform improvements and a future approach.
- Tracking and analysing performance metrics for social media campaigns using platforms such as HootSuite, Sales force and Google Analytics to measure ROI.
Requirements
- Relevant experience in digital and social media marketing with an established agency or in a similar role for an in-house marketing department.
- Excellent copywriting skills and editorial judgement.
- A track record of growing reach and engagement through own ideas and individual management of social accounts.
- Experience using social media reporting platforms and using the data to support ideas and strategy.
- A capacity to quickly identify opportunities and lead the process for education.
- A strong creative mindset with content ideation and a sharp attention to detail is crucial.
- Mobile device content creation skills are essential.
- Basic graphic design and foundational video editing skills are essential.
- Experience working with external creatives is useful but not required.
- A strong enthusiasm for the broader social media environment, including emerging formats, trends, platform experiments, and innovations across various sectors, is crucial.
- Sports business industry knowledge is appreciated but not essential.
- Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
