PR Manager - 12 Month FTC - Maternity Cover
As the platform with the UK's largest choice of properties for sale and to rent, our aim is to give everyone the belief they can make their move. To help us achieve this, we're looking for a PR Manager (maternity cover) to join our team.
You'll have extensive experience building strategic and creative PR programmes that align with a company's business goals and brand direction.
Perhaps you've been working in an agency and want the opportunity to bring your skills in-house, or you may already be in-house and are looking for a new challenge.
The PR manager will join our PR & content team, sitting within the marketing team.
What you'll be doing
- Work with a number of different teams across Rightmove including brand, social, research & data insights, product development and senior leadership teams
- As a highly organised and passionate person you'll be able to create and execute creative PR programmes to land our key messages, and turn our wealth of datasets into compelling news
- You'll be responsible for building and managing external relationships with contacts across commercial and residential property in trade, business and consumer titles
- On a daily basis you'll be keeping the business up to date with the latest news in the property and tech industry
Who you are
- Strong writing and communication skills and immaculate attention to detail
- The ability to juggle a number of tasks each day including a busy press office, plus being comfortable ripping up your to-do list when something else comes in
- Experience working on integrated campaigns including social and brand activations, with examples of how you've tapped into key cultural and topical moments
- Experience developing B2B stories, either in the property industry or the ability to adapt your skills from another industry
- You'll be a dab hand at making simple stories out of complex datasets - if the story doesn't write itself we move on to one that does, as we know we only have about 10 seconds to get a journalist's attention
- You'll help to further develop our issues planning and you'll already have first hand experience dealing with issues
- You're happy to share on call out-of-hours
- You may not have any experience working in property PR or you may have worked in property PR for your whole career so far, it doesn't matter to us as long as you're able to spot a story that will fly from one that will be ignored
