POSITION:
The Director will work on a wide array of investigative matters, e.g., due diligence, complex litigation support, anti-corruption investigations, activism and asset tracing investigations. They will be highly proficient in a broad array of investigative and research methods and apply expertise in fact gathering techniques. They will be highly skilled in utilizing appropriate resources (e.g., proprietary research databases and in-depth Internet research skills) and technology to support investigations.
WHAT THE JOB ENTAILS:
- Conduct investigative research, fact gathering and human intelligence source work utilizing a wide array of resources.
- Prepare high quality investigative reports and report findings to clients in both written and verbal form.
- Review research and written work by more junior team members
- Case manage smaller projects and take on oversight of workstreams in larger cases with responsibility for work quality and budgets.
- Assist in the preparation of proposals to develop case work.
- Contribute to and lead training initiatives
- Ability to manage complex data sets and findings against tight deadlines.
YOUR BACKGROUND
You must have:
- 5+ years of a well-established track record in the investigations industry; team or work group management experience a plus.
- A collaborative approach and ability to build consensus, motivate others and affect change.
- A persona that imparts credibility, trust, and integrity.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to offer creative solutions.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
- Flexibility to change priorities and scope of work.
- Extensive research and investigation experience including using a variety of research databases and investigative analysis platforms.
- Fluency in English; fluency in a second language is beneficial.
- A university degree; advanced degree preferable.
