Salary £36,363 - £40,777 per annum |37 hours per week | permanent, Full time | FM Operational Support | Lancashire
The purpose of this role is to organise and present relevant training courses to employees and customers and to support the preparation of training courses.
The post is a permanent post based at County Hall Complex in Preston whilst recognising the agile nature of the role at front line sites. The working hours are flexible with an agreed balance of working on site and remote working in line with business need, which includes to ensure a balanced approach across the team.
Accountabilities/Responsibilities
- Organise and deliver training programmes / training sessions to meet the specified aims and objectives of the programme.
- Liaise with operations teams to establish training needs.
- Support the design of craft and supervisory skills training modules and take lead responsibility for specified areas of catering standards under the direction of senior managers.
- Evaluate and monitor quality, standards and effectiveness of trainees and produce relevant reports for managers and customers.
- Maintain training records and provide regular information and reports.
- Promote long term partnerships through effective customer care and building productive working relationships.
- Ensure own continuous professional development through appropriate reading, training and support activities.
- Ensure that all activities comply with relevant law, legislation, policies and procedures.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
- Recognised vocational or professional qualification plus broad experience in area of expertise with sound practical experience.
- Detailed knowledge of own service area and relevant working systems, equipment and/or IT software, plus an awareness of council policies and services related to the role.
- Analytical skills and problem-serving capability.
- Ability to informally train and mentor less experienced staff.
- Ability to influence others based on technical or professional expertise.
- Ability to build and maintain effective networks and relationships.
- In addition to the skills knowledge and experience described above, you may be required to undertake a lower graded role as appropriate.
