About the Role...
Are you passionate about driving economic growth and regeneration through data and intelligence? The Lancashire Skills and Employment Hub is seeking a dynamic and experienced Skills and Economic Intelligence Manager. This pivotal role involves leading the development of the Data Observatory and providing critical intelligence to support the Lancashire Growth Plan, Skills and Employment Strategic Framework, and other key initiatives.
Responsibilities...
- Drive the collection, analysis, and interpretation of skills and economic intelligence data to support an evidence-based approach.
- Develop and manage the Data Observatory, fostering collaboration with key stakeholders.
- Provide expert advice to inform multi-agency initiatives, using data to ensure outcome focussed decision-making.
- Oversee the development and implementation of data systems for programme and project delivery.
What we are looking for...
- Minimum of an undergraduate degree in a relevant field (maths, statistics, etc.) or equivalent vocational experience. ONS Accredited Researcher status is desirable.
- Significant expertise in data analysis, dashboard development, and evidence-based recommendations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the capacity to influence senior leaders and stakeholders.
- Comprehensive understanding of sector trends, corporate strategy, and the principles of economic intelligence.
